Source priority
- Official OpenAPI or machine-readable specification
- Official reference documentation
- Official changelog, release notes, or feed
- Official SDK or source repository
- Original editorial summary grounded in the above
Secondary sources can corroborate a claim, but they do not anchor mutable pricing, quotas, authentication, version, availability, or product-status facts.
Fact-level provenance
Each provider record has a page verification date and official source list. Facts likely to change carry their own value, source URL, and verification date. When an exact limit cannot be confirmed, the profile says so rather than filling the gap with an estimate.
Crawler policy
The 2026-09-13 policy allows ordinary search crawlers and explicitly allows OpenAI's OAI-SearchBot plus Anthropic's Claude-SearchBot and Claude-User. It separately disallows the training crawlers GPTBot and ClaudeBot.
Google-Extended combines control over future Gemini training and some grounding uses while remaining separate from Google Search. The MVP blocks that combined token and leaves ordinary Google Search indexing allowed. Revisit this choice if Google later offers more granular controls.
Monetization boundary
API Atlas does not cloak content, distinguish ad rendering by user agent, manufacture impressions, or treat bot traffic as advertising inventory. Legitimate discovery may lead a real person to the site; any future monetization must be designed for that human visit.
